Born into the default world in NYC as Ruben Roman, PuraVida has been involved in music throughout most of his life growing up with his pecussionist dad. DJng in Philly in the early 70's and 80's his soundscape kept evolving with the times. After a long hiatus, immersing himself in the culinary arts and the photographic disciplines in Boston, he now lives in Denver serving up sonic flavors and textures from around the world.

Why are young people so eager to pick up an instrument and play, even when they have little or no expertise?
