"We are the ones we've been waiting for..." This is a chant that we often sing at the Boulder dance. As soon as I heard and sang these words for the first time, I felt it reach into my deepest Truth and awaken me into the blessing of what this community is. As dancers and as volunteers we are here to wake up the world and revel in the juicy magic that we are creating! I discovered this dance while doing some profound and deep personal work at a workshop. I was asking the Universe to reveal to me what would help catapult me into a new realm of being. The word that kept coming to me was "community". Until that moment I had tried to find my community in various cities throughout the country, but it took me coming back to my roots here in Boulder for me to discover Gypsie Nation....as soon as I saw the flier (and subsequently the website), I knew I had finally found my home. My partner and I eased our way into the dance...attending every week or two, but then feeling so overwhelmed that we often needed a break...so much opening was happening for both of us. Eventually we decided it was time to become more involved, so we attended a monthly potluck at one of the facilitators' homes. That was in January and we've been volunteering almost every week since then. Throughout the years I have learned that I am most content, most connected and most alive when I am in service. Seva is a meditation for me and it allows me to dive fully into the experience. Creating the beautiful space each week and helping to hold the container has helped me to feel more connected to the Creative Force and to the beautiful people of my community. I love seeing these people every week and have really enjoyed connecting with each of them on a deeper and deeper level every time we interact. I love running into people from the dance and fellow volunteers at the grocery store or downtown. I love being a part of such an amazing, beautiful, juicy, real, loving, gracious, powerful, transformative, sustainable Community! We ARE the ones we've been waiting for! Love, peace and many many blessings, Sarah
